Kawela Bay on Oa'hu's North Shore is a quiet, scenic bay which goes largely unnoticed by the crowds of tourists shuttling between Sunset Beach and Laie. Kawela Bay is home to countless sea turtles and exploring the bay is best done via kayak. The Turtle Bay Resort has an awesome kayak tour where you are basically guaranteed to see turtles. This bay has also been featured in numerous Hollywood blockbusters as well as TV favorites like Hawaii 5-0 and Magnum PI. If you are on the North Shore, you should plan to see it for yourself.

I take the kids ice fishing at Henry's Lake in Idaho, near Yellowstone National Park. We manage to stay warm, have fun and bring home 5 fish.

Finding the local rock climbing gym is an easy way to get your kids off the couch and away from their devices. It builds confidence, strength, and endurance. I brought my camera with me to the Edge Climbing Gym in Idaho Falls to capture some of the cool things my kids were doing. Enjoy!
